Powertrade, I agree with you that Zelda:TP did not sell as well as some thought it would, over the long run it may end up selling a lot.
Also, Children of Mana comes from a series that isn't known for its consistency in quality, were as every handheld Zelda games has been great, if not class (that includes the great Oracle of Ages/Seasons). With that pedigree I wouldn't start comparing the quality to Children of Mana in any regard (though I have a feeling this wasn't your intent).
I agree with you that this game is undervalued as of now and I remain optimistic that this game will have time to gain momentum. With the Japan obsession with the DS, even if this is an okay game, if it is polished enough-coming from Nintendo this is almost assured-it will sell.
