epic games don't require huge amounts of space. what takes up a lot of space is uncompressed audio and prerendered video. look at oblivion as an example of an "epic game". that game fit on a regular DVD9.
also at least in the case of the 360, there is no way that microsoft can make use of a bluray drive for games. that would alienate all previous owners of the 360. the next iteration of hardware could use it, yes. but for this iteration, bluray will be strictly for movies only.
