my response to apujanata then asks the question "are prerendered video required for epic games?" my example is heavenly sword which, though not hugely epic due to length, uses in-engine cutscenes. that game gets a lot of praise for their cutscenes which (allegedly) are up to standards of prerendered cutscenes.
