I have a quick question to ask, does anyone have a link to a release of XLA data for sales of downloads there. I found one of Geometry Wars numbers, but are in early 2006, so was seeing if anyone has found for recent numbers so we can see how much people actually buy games on XLA, which would be a great indicator of how well games on PSN will do. Better yet, does anyone have data for PSN, I don't know if Sony has released any yet since the PS3's user base is small at the moment, so download numbers might also be to small to make positive press, but it would be a great help in seeing how a game like this would do.
I still expect this game to get around 1.2 million sold over lifetime. Even if they stop shipping it at retail, they can still continue to offer it as a download on PSN for as long as they keep PSN up, which would give it legs it would not otherwise have if it was retail only. Also, as more information is released on this game, it seems like people are just getting more excited and the game is getting more 'buzz' as Lithium put it. They might be releasing a demo of LittleBigPlanet over PSN this fall, so hopefully data on the number of people that downloaded that will be released, as it will see how many PS3 owners are actually interested in the game.
