I'd say this stock will be a steadly seller until MP9 comes out. Whether or not Nintendo returns to a yearly schedule (or takes 2 years in between such as this last one), will determine the price.
According to vg chartz this has allready sold 2.53milllion over 20 weeks selling an average of 3dkp a week.Does this have the legs to sell another 1.5million before super mario galaxy comes out, assuming that sales will drop?id say this is a bit over priced.
According to VGChartz, MP8 moved 33,587 units for the week ending July 14th, 26,656 units for the week ending July 21st, 35,620 units for the week ending July 28th and 39,117 units for the week ending August 4th. That adds up to a grand total of 134,980 units or around 13.5 DKP.
@feelmyring, I would assume the bundled versions are counted, but I think it all depends on what NPD and the industry counts. The way Costco does it is they generally put the 2 SKUs together in a plastic box, so it is like they bought both SKUs from the manufacturers separately. It was already confirmed that Motorstorm bundled in the PS3 counts.
That was my understanding based on what happened with the Motorstorm stock when the Motorstorm Bundle for the PS3 was announced. It would make sense that they would still count those as game sales but I am not 100% on that, only about 90% sure that they count.
With that said, I'm not necessarily sure that this will affect the overall stock price of this stock, which is valued at 400DKP which still seems more than reasonable considering its just one retailer selling the bundle.
@pilias_simber, No one has asked yet so I will: would copies of MP8 in this bundle be counted as regular sales, since it's not packaged in the console box?
Costco stores all around the US are getting in Mario Party 8/Wii bundles. You get another Wiimote out of the deal as well. If you are still hunting down the Wii (which many of you are apparently!) now you have another chance.
With sales north of 426k copies, Mario Party 8 topped the sales charts during the June NPD reporting period.
Combined with May's 314k, Mario Party 8 is well on its way to 1 million units sold in America.

Why do you think Galaxy will affect this stock?
