@ixaarii, o oh! Now all the images I submitted (just like the help says) have dissapeared. And I can't delete them either... I apologise for the problem. I did as in the help, and they were working for a while...
I just saw this amazing new set of images. Posted a couple but that brings me to my two questions since i'm kinda new: does something like a new big set of images count as a news-worthy thing? I would think so for a game yet in the future because it helps us get an image of how the game is going to look and the level of polish thus far... however i didn't dare do it.
Which leads me to my second and bigger question: where do I post in the case of a multiplatform game like this? I mean since the producers don't really differentiate it feels like the images and videos of the ps3&xbox360 versions should be together. I posted a couple on ps3 and a couple on xbox360. Most of them here sicne i'd guess with the japanese audience in mind (did it do good in japan?) they might have the ps3 as the primary hardware platform. It seems I wasn't the only one since more material here... but that still feels wrong. I mean with the xbox360 install base and a lot of xbox360 owners probably being past ps2 owners the game may do much better there... thank you
From IGN -
esterday, we mentioned that the floor demo at this year's TGS for Devil May Cry 4 isn't particularly new by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, it's the exact same build that we've been playing for months at various press events. What we didn't know is that Capcom was showcasing a new trailer with footage that hadn't been released before of the title, which also divulges a number of secrets.
Capcom has been counting down towards today, teasing Devil May Cry fans they'd have their first look at Devil May Cry 4 the latest game in the series, which, as it turns out, is only sort of true.
Interesting that now the PS3 version actually has the least amount of interest in terms of shares purchased in the IPO. Though the DKP volume traded is higher than the PC version.
I think this move is great for Capcom. Before we were just looking at a 1.5 million prediction for Devil May Cry 4. Now, combining 3 platforms, the prediction is for Capcom to sell 2.25 million copies.
Personally, that fact moved it from a long to a possible short. It's lost its system-selling capacity which means it'll fall into the long list of multiplatform games that consumers have to compare and contrast when they make their console decision.
The XBox360 version will cannibalize the PS3's sales, I'm almost certain. That's going to make it extremely difficult for this game, already facing the declining sequel issue Gaara laid out, to hit the 1.5 million on one platform.
