Multiplayer: Sony fans got panicked when they saw NPD numbers and saw it only sold several thousand in the U.S., whatever it was. [Under 75,000 in the U.S. in its first calendar month on sale.]
Price: It’s sold over a million worldwide now, so…It’s actually on par with the PlayStation 2 games now. It sold as many as the other games have at this point in its lifecycle.
@sagexsdx, Because of where the stock prices were in relation to how they've been selling. R&C was been a much more volatile stock than Uncharted and there is a fair amount of disagreement on how much it should be priced at, plus I'm fairly certain there were more people shorting R&C than there were shorting Uncharted.
here's a counter "argument"... in that same news that ratchet would be bundled, uncharted was also listed as part of that "pick n mix" bundle. how come that game hasn't seen similar gains?
@sagexsdx, Honestly I think its more a matter of people actually having money now because of the Jan Futures freeing up a ton of money. Sometimes it takes a while for all of that money to be spent and you see frequent stock price shifts for about 2 weeks following the NPDs as people reinvest their money.
I'm not sure how much of it was caused by this, but this is the latest stock that I am pulling out of. My position was reasonably large (well over 3 million DKP), so it causes some price fluctuations. I moved 5000 units of stock earlier and that caused today's spike.
If it's anything like other games, the price should get bumped down fairly soon.
