@Gaara42, I think this game is not going to go anywhere, especially with the pricepoint. By the time they lower the price it will probably be too late. It failed this bad during a Holiday release, and the Wii is getting many large titles soon. VGC has it at 14,000 sold after 3 weeks.
* Revamped control scheme provides surprisingly solid accuracy
* Gameplay is still intense and engaging
* Galaxy mode is deep and addictive
* Visuals are sharp and colorful
* Multiplayer is good fun.
# No online multiplayer options
# No GameCube controller support
The release of Geometry Wars Galaxies, the massively expanded Wii and DS sequel to the shooter which originated on Xbox, has been delayed into next year.
A preview of the features in Geometry Wars: Galaxies. The Wii version will have multiple control schemes, such as being able to use the dual-analog scheme by way of the classic controller. There are new playing fields (such as "Orbiter, a hexagonal playfield that features at its centre a large gravity well, around which the player ship and all enemies must orbit."). The game will include new enemies (such as " the mutator, a mass of angry lines that runs away from you and mutates enemies into biohazard symbols that move fast towards your ship"). The game will also feature an online leaderboard for both the Wii and DS version of the game. The preview also talks about the drone the player gets. Overall a good preview that gives an overview of what is now know about the game.
