"Popular accessory manufacturers Njoy are gearing up to make their stake in Wii Fit with the September debut of their own Wii Fit balance board. The board, currently titled G-Board Balance Board, is near identical to Nintendo's first party product with a few exceptions. Perhaps the most pertinent deviation from the original Wii Fit balance board is the G-Board's MSRP, a relatively high $130."

You know, I once heard an age old adage. "Arguing on the internet is like the special olympics. Even if you win, you are still retarded." While it is not P.C. there is a lot of truth to it.
This will be the last post, because I can't let you have the last word! ;)
I have no idea how ioi determines how to calculate sales patterns and the like. I would assume higher selling games are easier to track to lower selling games, since the data collected probably has better patterns than games that might not even sell a copy during a slow week. It does look like (from the link in my last post) that RE:UC needs adjusted slightly as well.
How he determines all this I have no idea, as I am nothing more than a member of the site, so I wouldn't presume to know anything about how ioi does that kind of stuff. It seems that the mods and some of the contributors do help him with some of the data, but again, no idea how it all works.
@welshbloke, Only 500 to 650K of Wii Fit for US ? I have a hard time believing that. I think it is around 1 Million, the same figure available for Europe launch (IIRC).
@Stever89, Sorry, I know that I promised not to post anymore, but I couldn't resist : "and for other games that have similar sales patterns".
This sentence is a big problem. How do you determine similar sales pattern ? Take RE4 for example. Do you decide to adjust : - other capcom game on Wii - same horror type of game on Wii (adjust RE:UC) - same FPS type of game on Wii (adjust Metroid Prime 3 and RE:UC) - capcom game on Wii that doesn't yet cross 1 million (adjust Zack & Wiki) - RE game on Wii that didn't cross 1 million yet (future RE0 Wii game)
I am posting this to point out how difficult to implement "and for other games that have similar sales patterns". As long as it is only ioi that have the formula, and using his "one brain", he would always have difficulty increasing the accuracy. I think it is better for ioi to get more people, so "wisdom of more people" can be used to enhance the formula (If my assumption that only ioi has the formula is wrong, please forgive me).
