Goes up also, since both game you can only buy once (or do). Bundles only get the game sales down in the begining, and that is something every bundle does (also ms and sony bundles) since you have a game, you don't need to buy one. That eagers out after time, believe me, or just analyze a lot of data. The "weekly" attach rate of the Wii is fine, meaning it know sells as much software as other consoles, considering the install base.
@deftangel, Well according to an accidently posted and then removed article on IGN, Skate is coming to Wii and DS, so there is hope that it is one of those games being developed for usage with the Wii Balance Board.
I always thought Nintendo could have 3 separate SKU's of Wii Play with different mini-games on. Then they could sell a "bundle" three times to those who want 4 controllers for parties.
Of course retailers and ebayers could then advertise the Wii-rip off scams as having 35 games or something similar so it's not all bad.
Wii Play is first party, that's the difference. It's pretty obvious that Wii Play sells because of the Wii remote packed in and Nintendo makes a killing on charging an extra $10 for that software. Why on earth would they want another company to get that money instead?
@deftangel, I have always wondered about this "bundling".
Is there any reason why third party (not just on Wii, but on X360 or PS3) can not do "bundle simple game with wii-mote" thing ? Why should Nintendo (or MSFT or SCE) refuse any such request from third party developer ? Of course, this mean only $10 price for the game component of the "bundle", but this also happen to Wii Play, and Nintendo are ok with it.
I think they will. Many "core" gamers enjoyed Wii Sports and I think a fair proportion of those will be intrigued by Wii Fit. Nintendo have promised at least 10 games will support it, I think that makes it a compelling enough proposition to appeal most Wii owners.
And of course Wii Fit itself will bring in a whole new market in itself.
I'd be interested to see what EA could do with Sk8te and the balance board.

Someone obviously disagrees with me then. Made a bit of a dent in my purchase price by picking up some shares on the "cheap"*
*IMO anyway ;)
