Strange rant really. Not something I would expect from a community manager who after all is just another PR mouth piece and this particular one seems to have drank to much.
I picked up a CVG special magazine on the WAW during a recent LAN event and this magazine which was the same size as a normal CVG magazine covered large areas of the game and I am certainly looking forward to it in large part because of this magazine and its apparent insight into the game. Before reading this magazine I viewed this game as just an elaborate well made mod.
I am expecting once the review start coming in that WAW will score highly as it looks to have made some significant improvements over the COD4MW franchise. Having spent some time now on the beta it certainly has freshened up that aspect for me at least.
IW Community Manager Robert Bowling has posted a particularly angry rant on his official blog about producer Noah Heller.
"Can you guys please stop interviewing this guy, talk to someone who actually works on the Dev Team at Treyarch and knows what the **** they're talking about. Not Senior Super Douche Noah Heller from Activision - who apparently has never played the game and doesn't even work at the developer."
I think I have to agree with you November the 11th is probably not the best date. I have not really followed World at War but if any game was going to go for a release on that date then a game like Brothers in Arms woudl be my choice as it tends to focus more on the suffering and tries to retell the horror but even that is just a shooter when all is said and done.
Just a general observation but isn't it a 'little' distasteful to launch a war game on Remembrance Day? Would be nice to see a portion of first day profits go to War Veterans or something.
The new episode of GT TV is out and the world exclusive reveal about the game which was said to rock the internet gaming community is that the game will have a Nazi Zombie mode and many other modes and features revealed.
@Toastboy44562, Dude its not. It's pretty much the same since there achiteture is pretty much the same. Its super easy to port games to 360, PS3 and PC/MAC now.
@vGInfidel,Wow this game is awesome! The 360 version is better than all the other versions due to the fact that it is easier to build a game on the 360 than the ps3.
November 11 is the date all console versions of Call of Duty: World at War will rumble into retail – except of course for the never to be PS2 version. Those hankering for an earlier taste of multiplayer flame thrower action can sign up for the upcoming beta in October.
Since this stock has cleared phase 2 by at least 5 hours, I would like to make a comment on your estimate:
I agree wholehearted on your analysis and reasons why COD:WoW will not do as good as COD4. I also agree with your 350 - 550 DKP price point range, even though my own analysis is slightly higher (420 - 600).
The only problem is because I focused my investment on the PS3 and Wii Version (see bigger profit potential there), by the time I go to X360 version, the price is already within the range (600 or below), so I didn't manage to increase my short a lot.
