Strong performance in all 3 regions. The article uses Amazon rankings in US, UK, & Japan which isn't definitive, but can show trends. Of note is that both the regular edition and limited edition charted well for the PS3.

Today, Capcom announced that since its release in the US and Europe earlier this month and in Japan in January, Devil May Cry 4 has sold over 2 million units worldwide. DMC4's rapid success makes the game the fastest-selling installment in the seven-year-old series. It also accounts for just under a quarter of the entire franchise's total of 9 million units in sales, according to Capcom.

CVG writes: "Issue 97 of PSM3 magazine, on sale tomorrow, features the first review of Capcom's much-anticipated Devil May Cry 4." PSM3 kicks off stating: "If you go into DMC4 with expectations about fairness, checkpoints, structure and rewards that you've got from God Of War, you're going to end up all hurt and confused."

Yes, we all know that many PlayStation 3 games have Trophies for accomplishing goals similar to the Xbox 360 counterparts; but where's the fun in winning awards if you can't credibly brag to your friends? PS3 Fanboy brings word that the upcoming Devil May Cry 4 will support an Achievement-like system on the PS3, letting your friends view which you've unlocked. It doesn't add to an overarching Gamerscore, but it's a nice stand-in until Home gives us a nice pretty Trophy room.

Capcom: Retail to blame for higher PS3 version prices

Kotaku - January 30, 2008

Submitted by Jyri_GRFin (873) at 11:43PM PST on January 30, 2008

So some UK retailers are charging as much as ten extra quid for the PS3 version of Devil May Cry 4. Why's it more expensive than the Xbox 360 version? Both versions look pretty much the same. What gives?! Says a Capcom spokesperson: We don't set the prices of our games, that's at the discretion of the retailer. In this specific instance, the process has resulted in a price difference, but the process itself is not something we completely control. That sucks, but there it is.
