Sagat & Balrog return in Street Figher IV

VideoGaming247 - February 29, 2008

Street Fighter IV continues to excel in the “taking the piss” stakes today, with news that Sagat and Balrog are in the arcade version, as seen in this movie. From this: “Taken from the Taito Center in Akihabara, the first clip shows Sagat fighting Zangief on a stage that looks reminiscent of Balrog’s Las Vegas backdrop from previous Street Fighters.

IGN SF4 review 9.3/10

IGN - February 12, 2009

Submitted by OuterHaven (570) at 12:41PM PST on February 12, 2009

Capcom has managed to strip away the baggage that has accumulated around the series over the years and returned to the franchise's roots. The result is a game that plays very much like a purified, simple fighter -- but with several modern enhancements to enrich the combat. If you've been playing Street Fighter for years, this game will feel like an old friend. If you're completely new to the scene, Street Fighter IV is a great place to start".

More Street Fighter IV screens for you today. And guess who's in them. Yup, the same Ryu and Ken fight, in the SAME frickin' level, but it's okay because these eight screens show something cool.

Street Fighter IV is "50% Done"

Ono-san apparently said the game was 10% complete back in September, so if production continues at this rate, the game should be finished around the end of June. Then maybe we can see some other characters from the series start showing up.

“If you’re a fan of the older games, you’ll drop right in and enjoy yourself; the classic six-button controls feel perfect, and as you take different characters through Arcade mode, you’ll unlock alumni who didn’t appear in the coin-op edition, like Cammy, Rose, and Dan. Everyone looks as you remember them, only better.

A faster, more aggressive and, above all, French version of Zangief, Abel mixes pro-wrestling with traditional martial arts. C Viper is a supersonic striker with a curious love of aerial elbow drops – and an immediate hit with those who dared select her. So tuned are the newcomers to the game’s boisterous animation that they, more than any of the original World Warriors, make you comfortable with the new aesthetic.
