SCEJ just dropped a ton of information concerning several major PSP titles for the remainder of 2008. Three huge games are now officially slated for this holiday season in Japan. Dissidia: Final Fantasy is now set for a December 18 release. All three games will be sold alongside bundled packs that include the new bright-screened PSP-3000. There will be a larger over-arching story that will unfold while playing through all the individual characters. Since this game is being made in celebration of Final Fantasy's 20th anniversary, we're keeping our fans' enjoyment as our main concern. We want Final Fantasy fans to feel that they were able to actually meet all of the characters from these past Final Fantasy games.

Apparently the game is designed in such a way that each story mode can be played multiple times, with new unlockables and options available to the player each play through. This means that the game could effectively last a player their "entire lifetime". Every single character will have a unique story. Yes, that means there are effectively 20 different re-inactions of the story and if you want to understand the entire plot, you'll have to play them all.
