1up.com - April 22, 2008

Submitted by CrAzZyYmAn (606) at 9:16AM PST on April 23, 2008

Spore was finally dated for a September 7 release earlier this year, but is that just too long to wait to make onto yourself all the graven images in the game you can think of? Well buck up, heathens! The Spore Creature Creator will be arriving fully three months earlier, with both a free and retail version being available in June.

Spore goes number two in US PC chart

VideoGaming247 - September 16, 2008

Good effort, Spore, but not good enough to beat The Sims. Will Wright must be really annoyed with himself. Spore’s second in this week’s US PC chart, which is probably amazingly good, when you think about it.

SPORE first review (?)

91% by PC Gamer Uk: Spore's triumph is painfully ironic. By setting out to instill a sense of wonderment at creation and the majesty of the universe, it's shown us that it's actually a lot more interesting to sit here at our computers and explore the contents of each other's brains. When Spore Tribes Go To War

More info about Spore. I can believe it'll be an interesting game. I can't believe it'll become mainstream. 6M? Seems really too much to me.

Along with officially announcing today the first add-on pack for Will Wright and Maxis' evolution simulator Spore--10 days after it was spotted in the specialty retailer's online database--EA also revealed the game's first expansion, which will focus on the Space Age.

Test of The Creature Creator

Is it worth $10? Maybe, it is tons of fun to play around with, but I'm not sure if I'd want to shell out cash to get early hands-on time with something that will come built-in to a game I'm planning on buying. Then again it's only $10 and it's TONS of fun. Actually a little addictive.
