On August 23, the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates Gemini Edition goes on sale. It packages a special Nintendo DS Lite with the stained glass artwork from the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates box and the game for 21,840 yen ($176).

- The highest selling FF title on DS so far is Final Fantasy III, which will probably end up at ~1.9 million sold (estimating for Europe)
- The highest selling FF title on GBA was FFT:Advance which sold ~1.6 million.
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube sold around 1.1 million.

I'd just like to point out FFIII was a re-release of a game, most Japanese consumers beat back when they were 10 years old. This is a new title, and I expect Japanese sales to make up the bulk of sales on this fresh FF title.
That said, can it sell 3 million? Only time will tell.
