This article talks about the creation of an anime film based off of Animal Crossing. This could increase exposure of the series if the anime turns out to be any good and this increased exposure could drive sales of Animal Crossing for the Wii, especially if it is released before Animal Crossing is released, causing people to have the series/game on their mind as they go into the store to make a purchase.
