Until something official comes out, I'm suspicious. Nintendo and Microsoft/Rare can work together in other ways (such as DS games), so I don't see why they couldn't work something out here as well. I would suspect that Nintendo wanted more than what Microsoft was offering (considering that GoldenEye was easily one of the best N64 games).
Note to developers/publishers...start factoring this into game agreements NOW so we can avoid this problem 10 years down the road.
