@sagexsdx, PlayStation 2 has sold 35m units or so in US. While Microsoft may not be aiming at those numbers, it is still disappointing.
PlayStation Portable saw a very small increase year to year (from 953,200 to 1,060,000), as well as Xbox 360 (1.1m to 1.26m) DS went nuts (1,6m to 2.4m), while Wii is still hard to decipher (could a well-stocked console saturated the market?). PlayStation 3 still has a lot to gain, but they are giving up a lot of terrain.
As for the predictions, very good numbers for me. Missed Mass Effect, but got a lot form Uncharted.
