You may hate Microsoft for whatever reason but stating your beliefs on this forum in a completely over the top way when it is unneccessary and in a fairly unrelated topic is in my mind trolling. There is no need for it in my opinion, if you wish to express yourself in future do so in a relevant topic when its justified and this issue will be avoided.
But lets look at your arguement a little deeper, i will focus on the console side not operating systems. Microsoft rushed the 360 out of the door to get ahead of its competitors and in hindsight this was a bad decision with the whole RRoD affair, both for the consumers, and MS who have lost alot of money themselves. But i would not say they milk consumers out of their money any more so than other companies especially not Sony or Nintendo.
If you remember Sony put the PS3 at a ridiculously high pricepoint because of the higher produuction costs of blu-ray, a format they were forcing on the consumer. At least with MS they gave consumers the option with an external drive whether or not to adopt a HD movie format. This proved to be the wrong move as Sony by forcing the format through with the PS3 came out as the format winner.
Nintendo charge ridiculous amounts for their accessories. My sister recently brought a Wii and once she'd payed for an extra controller a game and other accessories it cost her about £300 ($600) add to that Wii Fit which is £70 ($140) its a lot of money, especially to a casual gamer. They are milking the casual market completely, with low production costs and high prices, and i dont blame them tbh.
How are Sony being innovative this gen? MS have evolved the XboxLive experience and the face of the harder core gaming along with it. Nintendo have transformed the casual market with motion controls. Sony are split between the two and have tried to copy both, to currently poor standards.
(Yes i know that XboxLive has a subscription fee where as PSN doesnt but i happily pay that fee as the service is generally so good and from my view completely worth it. I would much rather pay for XBL than have to put up with PSN.)
To Sony's credit the PS3 is very reliable and a solid piece of kit. Where as MS rushed and did not test the 360 enough and caused the RRoD debacle, although to suggest this has been more profitable for them is ridiculous. The $1 billion in repairs not to mention the amount of consumers they have lost due to low confidence more than covers any profit they gained from releasing early.
