@DrPirate, if Fallout 3 "might just rival BioShock" then hitting 2 million sales is not that easy. BioShock is having trouble making that momentum to reach those numbers. 2 million is actually a difficult benchmark and not that many games hit those kinds of numbers on a single platform. This game is coming out on PC and I think PS3 as well.
I cannot wait to see more of this game. This looks like it might just rival Bioshock in terms of atmosphere and detail in both environments and playability.
I don't see the stock just took a massive hit. -10%? What happened the lifetime sales of this game will easily, easily, easily see 2 million sales on the 360.
For anyone recently emerging from under a rock, Oblivion developer Bethesda's next foray into the videogame scene is Fallout 3, the post-apocalyptic RPG sequel long looked for by the Fallout hardcore.
Bethesda is bringing the game to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and is currently aiming to have it out in autumn 2008...
Judging from all the hype created along with media speculation, analysts at IGN are predicting atleast 3.5 to 4 Million sales within a month?
What are your opinions?
How do you come up with the 1.2 Millions? VG has it at 2.11. Lifetime sales are WW, so please give a source for you claim. VGC maybe sometimes off, but that far on such a high profile game seems unreasonable to me.
Why is Fallout trading over 1.8 million copies? Oblivion could only sell 1.2 million copies on the Xbox 360. The market for PC RPG franchises is only so big on the Xbox 360.
I hated the trailer because it doesn't show anything on what the game is about or what its like, or what the main character is going to be like... even if the player gets to customize and create his/her own character.
