A mere 27 days from now, many of you will – as we've had a chance to – be taking your first steps outside of Vault 101 and into the Wasteland. As your eyes adjust to the unfamiliar, natural daylight, you'll be greeted by a sweeping vista of ... utter ruin.

Fallout 3 demo not possible

Eurogamer - April 21, 2008

Submitted by Mushashi (5) at 8:00AM PST on April 21, 2008

Bethesda's Pete Hines has confirmed that there will be no demo for Fallout 3. "When you build it as one thing, there's no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we're just not going to do," said Hines. "And it doesn't really capture the fun of a game like an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout, where you can go where you want and do what you want. So no demo, sorry."

Fallout 3 DLC delayed until March, April

Joystiq - February 8, 2009

Submitted by oznerol (1) at 6:39AM PST on February 8, 2009

Survivors of the Capital Wasteland will need to wait for Fallout 3's next two DLC packs a little longer. GameSpy reports that the follow-ups to Operation Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel, will be delayed until March and April, respectively. A Bethesda spokesperson confirmed to us the information is accurate. Guess this will give us more than enough time to finish the seemingly never-ending Nuka Cola Challenge.

Fallout 3 Hands-on

IGn - July 14, 2008

calling Fallout 3 one of the most impressive videogames of the year in a season that has already brought us Metal Gear Solid 4 and Grand Theft Auto IV isn't meant to be hyperbole. Even in its unoptimized stage (all the content is there, development is just about polish from now until October), Fallout 3 is still one of the most engaging and playable titles this side of Liberty City... and I've only tested it for about an hour.

Is This Why Fallout 3 Won't Be Released in India?

Kotaku - October 25, 2008

Submitted by necron101 (15) at 8:12PM PST on October 25, 2008

Earlier this week came the news of Microsoft pre-emptively choosing not to release Fallout 3 in India, citing "cultural sensitivities." It's interesting because rather than wait for a ratings board or authority to ban it, or local media/pissed off people to demand it's banning, Microsoft just said nothankyou.jpg and took its business elsewhere. Blend Games got to speculatin' as to what was so insensitive about the game, and they came up with this:

First info after trailer release

IGN - June 5, 2007

Submitted by Demon_Gaara007 (343) at 1:09PM PST on June 9, 2007

Not much information has been revealed yet, however, through interviews and the trailer IGN has found some of the first info on Fallout 3. Bethesda's V.P. of Public Relations and Marketing refused to comment on the perspective they will be using, though IGN suspects that it will either play in first person, or over-the-shoulder third person. It is tenatively scheduled to be released in fall of 2008. There are some more details in the article, though little has been announced as of now.

Fallout 3 X360: IGN 9.6/10

IGN - October 27, 2008

Submitted by OuterHaven (570) at 9:48PM PST on October 27, 2008

It's rare that a game can hit the mark in so many different and often conflicting areas. Fallout 3 offers freedom without sacrificing a focused story. It delivers fantastic combat without forgoing a deep role-playing system. It's a fantastic game with incredible atmosphere that offers fun in so many different ways that you're almost sure to get hooked. This is one of the best games you'll play this year.

Fallout 3 Is So Better Than Oblivion, Say Bethesda

Kotaku - August 1, 2008

Submitted by necron101 (15) at 10:45PM PST on August 5, 2008

Having made both Oblivion and Fallout 3, when asked which of the two was the better game, you'd think Bethesda would remain a little impartial, no? Keep thigs civil, keep things amicable between the two franchises? Nope. Speaking in London last week, Bethesda's Peter Hines went on record saying Fallout 3 > Oblivion.
