Fallout 3 Level Cap Getting Dialed Up To 30

Kotaku - January 9, 2009

Fallout 3 lead producer Jeff Gardiner reveals that the Broken Steel downloadable content due out in March allow players to take their character all the way to level 30. Along with the promised raise in the level cap to 30, Broken Steel also removes the ending for the game, allowing players to continue on in their adventure rather than having to deal with those pesky ending credits.

UGO Fallout 3 Review: A+

UGO Games Blog - October 28, 2008

"If you’re going to spend 40 hours with a game, you better hope it’s got an interesting setting. It’s not always mandatory...Oblivion’s setting was as generic D&D-style as you can get, but the scale and gameplay were strong enough to hold most players’ attention. Fallout 3 manages to hit the nail on the head on all of those fronts, offering an incredibly compelling, massive world to explore, kick ass RPG-shooter gameplay and a story that’ll keep your attention well through its many, many hours."

We didn't think Fallout 3 was close enough to completion for a rating, but the Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification has already refused to classify the title, effectively banning it from sale in the country.

Fallout 3's Four New Achievements

Kotaku - January 25, 2009

Submitted by necron101 (15) at 12:02PM PST on January 25, 2009

The achievements are "Aiding the Outcasts," "The Guns of Anchorage," "Paving the Way" and "Operation Anchorage." Of course, we knew about "Operation Anchorage" already. Guess these are the three missions of the DLC pack that hits Tuesday for 800 Microsoft Points, and then the big 40 point achievement is given out if you finish the new quest entirely.
