Oh, thanks for the reminder, I actually forgot that WoW didn't have a simultaneous worldwide launch.

According to this messageboard WoW hit 1 million after a little more than 3 months (with the European launch).
Probably not an incredibly useful comparison because WoW did not have a simultaneous worldwide launch and AoC has the benefit of a much larger population of MMO players to draw on (thanks to WoW, of course). Before WoW, many people had never played an MMO before. That being said, I don't think anybody expected AoC to launch as well as it has and there's gonna be a ton of people convincing their friends/guildmates to jump aboard. Got a friend who switched from WoW and he is more than happy with his decision right now.

RE: AoC fastest selling PC-GameRemember, this is not copies sold, just the number of people who have logged on, so the number of copies sold could be much higher than this. Will this momentum keep up? Since this is an MMO it will have a much longer, and larger, long tail than a regular retail game that only has single player and multiplayer.
The fact that the hype continues to grow will only help this game, especially since looking around the web players are giving it high marks, which means they will recommend their friends buy it so they can play together. What is the current sales # of World of Warcraft : Burning Crusade ? Currently, SE has it at 10.81 Million (GLS), while AoC:HA is 3 Million (GLS).
Is it reasonable to expect 30% of WoW:BC for AoC:HA ? I am asking this since I didn't follow PC games sales (I play PC games, but not many of them in the few last years, unlike 20 years ago)
