This smacks of the usual console war propaganda. Ubisoft fired a recent salvo and now Epic fire one back.
I understand a bit more about the dev comment regards the PS3 and Ai and believe it is possible that in certain conditions it would be deemed more difficult and hence less likely to have the time spent fine tuning a PS3 title than a 360 verion of a game. That said I still remain sceptical of Ubisoft's motives.
This on the otherhand is just plain stupid. I would like to iniatate the
"Not to Posh to swap"
campaign for all those guys at Epic that have forgotten that the user base is able to swap discs out in an emergency i.e. such as a map load.
I do not doubt that it is more convenient to not optimise your code for compression and that on occasions it may even be necessary to have more than one disc but to suggest that we would have to have fewer maps because everything did not fit on one disc does not make sense.
