This is the first Guitar Hero game for a Nintendo platform. Therefore it's reaching a group of gamers that didn't have access to the other games (presuming they don't own a PS2/360), which also means they don't already have a controller.
While I have doubts about the 360 version doing as well as #2, I think the Wii version will do as well (if not better) than the PS2 version of #2...especially if they integrate the Wiimote into it somehow. The guitar holds the remote in it, so possibly we can have bonus points for fancy playing/moves?
Okay I'm just gonna say I don't think that this version of guitar hero 3 or any other version other than the ps2 and possibly the 360 version will sell over 1 million copies, because it's coming out on 4 different machines and lots of people already have controllers for those versions. As well as that anyone who knows harmonix isn't making this one might decide to hold off.
Just in case anyones wondering. Both of the pictures I submitted are not actual guitars for Guitar Hero III but instead what IGN envisions them as, not the official one.
Rock Band is way overpriced , I went to Ebgames just to see the prices and if they lower the prices to get everything for thing it will be more than a Wii. That is crazy I dont even the most hardcare GH/Singstar/ppl that want to drum it out on game will do that .
