jeffery said that they are aiming for 'another round number' which you must assume means 10million copies sold between the Wii and DS. now i doubt he would have said that unless they were confident it could get fairly close to that figure at least and possibly beyond. as he said this game has at least 4 months good sales left in it and probably a spike around the time of the olympics, and as its already reached 5million in 3 months so i can see why they're confident.
Even with todays price rise the total is still only around 7.5million copies between the two. Is this game really only going to sell another 2.5million units in the next four months as we run up to the olympics when its already sold 5million in 3? personally i think not.
@apujanata, With the huge restocks and selling like crazy in the past week (and in this week for sure), it's not that hard to believe the game was approaching 400k very fast. If I understand it correctly, ELSPA list is sorted by the time that each game surpassed that milestone which means Mario & Sonic broke 300k barrier earlier than 6 other games. We know for sure that it sold more than 300k but we don't know how many copies more. It would be anyone's guess. As I said, with crazy sales in the past week, I'm confident in my guess.
In that case (25-30%), what we know FOR SURE is 300K (not sure about 400K yet, you might believe it to be 400K, but not firm indicator on that, since the next level is double platinum, or 600K, which it has not achieved yet) for UK which translate to 1 Million - 1.2 Million (using 300K as base, not 400K, for reason mentioned above).

Bid up, because people around here don't like to be proven wrong despite their infinite wisdom :)
