I think its my fault this stock is screwy.. Instead of selling my 100+ shares at 10,000 i may have switched the values inadvertently, shorting 10,000 shares at 190 =)... oh well, consider it a money making opportunity at my expense i guess.
I think there's a couple more dollars in here; VG Chartz figures, week endings June 10th-July 1st have this at 423,664 sold, with four weeks figured. Every week is over 100k, so I have no reason to believe this won't clear 500k sold, it's just a matter of by how much. My math is as follows: 423,664 units for four weeks is an average of 105,916 per week. Times 5 (for June's 5 weeks) is 529,580 units sold.
VG Chartz is also reporting 477,030 for June 4th-July 3rd, which is not the same as June 3rd-July 7th, but close enough for approximation. Using the average weekly sales from above (105,916/7) to get 15,130 per day. SO. Add 75,650 to 423,664 to get 499,314 sold. That being said, I still think it will be about 15k higher than that, based on the weekly averages.
In summation, I think buying up to 50.25 DKP or so could still result in a good chunk of money in 12 days. I think the settlement price will be in the 52 DKP range.
On Saturday, Nintendo released the Japan-only Metallic Rose and the Gloss Silver DS Lites. It was fairly easy to acquire both all weekend with the new colors being readily available at several different game retailers I frequent; however, I'm sure it sold out somewhere in The Land of the Rising Sun. Here's a gallery of pics for those thinking of importing. The Metallic Rose isn't that attractive — in fact, it's downright fugly. But man, that silver one. HOT!
I think there's three decent possibilities, look at the whole situation. Can't say any is more likely, but if it's any of these then it can be fixed.
1. The small volumes to change the price means someone is just selling a large quantity, probably because they think the price is at its best, and inadvertently caused the huge drops. 2. Someone is manipulating the stock for whatever reason. 3. Database glitches.
I agree. The stock price yo-yoing by 20% is pretty bizarre. Coupled with the display errors from yesterday (and a supposed purchase which I never made) leads me to think something is wrong with the database. Hopefully someone can clear this up.
I'll admit, I'm one to comment on market trends when they seem a little off. And with the giant drops yesterday and just now, I'm curious what's causing them. There's no negative news that's broken the last two days that would, in my experience, trigger a sell-off. Is there something I don't know, or should I be suspicious? (I will be anyway, I'm the paranoid one. But still.)
