Seems like a mistake to make it Japanese only, do they really expect bundling this game will dramatically increase sales. They should also bundle it in America or Europe.
Current price seems reasonable, though I think due to the fact that this game is being released on the PS3 also, it should be more around 150-155DKP.
PlayStation 3 isn't the only system getting some bundle love from Capcom. Microsoft Japan announced today the Xbox 360 Devil May Cry 4 Premium Pack, a hardware bundle that combines the 360 with the latest installment of Capcom's dramatic action hack-n-slasher.
The Japan-only bundle includes a Xbox 360 Standard Model, which is the Japanese version of America's Premium Pack, complete with a 20 gigabyte hard disk, wireless controller, media remote, HD AV cables and LAN cable.
"The actual answer for concerned gamers with both systems is “Either or, makes no difference.” Gametrailers has done due diligence and run both flavors of the game side by side — and sometimes over and under — for your eyeballing. As I’ve been telling people for months, there ain’t no difference between the two. Kobayashi-san and his team have gotten Capcom’s Framework engine to sit up and bark on command on both systems in a most excellent fashion. All you system fan boys, settle down."
Considering we’ve still got nearly two months before the game hits retail shelves, Capcom obviously wants to keep a lot of the plot behind Devil May Cry 4 under wraps. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few juicy bits we can toss out just to whet your appetite. By now, most of you know that the initial star of the game isn’t longtime Devil May Cry protagonist and half-demon hero, Dante.
I've searched both before posting and now after the downbid but I couldn't find the image submitted before so wondering why the downbid? Disliking of subject? Did I do something wrong?
I know it's a concept (i'm assumng that's why the downbid?) but seems quite 3d-ish and the game does a pretty good job of showing similar, except in a screenshot the weapon isn't as obvious.
... Q: Are the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions really identical? Ans: The actual contents are exactly the same, but having said that, the feel of the controller may cause a slight difference. Q: How close is Devil May Cry 4 to completion, now? Ans: Well, time is quite tight, to be honest. We're working frantically hard. But we've gone over the hill now, if you like, and we're finishing up. Hopefully we can deliver it on time. (Devil May Cry 4 will be out in March 2008 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.)
We played a build of DMC 4 last April during Capcom's annual Gamers Day on the PS3, its native console, and were happy with the demo. Capcom officially announced that the Xbox 360 version would be playable during Games Convention, so we headed over earlier today to beat the Thursday rush. Our verdict?
