I thought this stock would take a hit when details of GHIV broke. With two other virtual band games coming to Wii and possibly a Rock Band 2 making three, I don't see this game selling nearly 3M copies.
BIZ: Considering the incredible sales of the Wii I'm curious why Rock Band wasn't launched simultaneously on that platform along with the others because it seemed like a no brainier to have that right away from the start.
GL: It was twofold. One, when we made the initial decisions about where to place our resources, [the success of the Wii] wasn't as clear as it became in retrospect and really for us, it was simply a matter of resources.
@lstormy10, It should be noted that these bonus tracks for the Wii are not exclusive. They are just exclusive in the sense that it is the only version where the songs come on the disc along with the rest of the game. The tracks are already available for purchase as DLC for the 360 and PS3 versions.
Dirty Little Secret - The All-American Rejects **
Don't Look Back in Anger - Oasis **
Roam - The B-52's **
Rockaway Beach - The Ramones **
Roxanne - The Police
@Mushashi, I am talking mainly about those that do have another console would not get it on the Wii. And those on the Wii looking for a music game experience have reasons to go with Guitar Hero 3 rather than Rock Band because of the available online play and Wii-specific features built-in for GH3 while Rock Band has no such online play or Wii-specific features.
