Ubisoft launches Play Zone label

Ubisoft has announced that it will launch a new Wii exclusive party-games range under the "Play Zone" label. "With our new Play Zone party titles, the Wii gamers who like to spend time with friends and family will have fun with the Wii through innovative and involving mini-games," said Ubisoft's EMEA Marketing Director John Parkes. The first game released under the Play Zone label will be Sports Party, which will be released on July 11.

Ubisoft Announces Emergency Heroes

Today Ubisoft has announced Emergency Heroes, an arcade-style, Crazy Taxi-esque driving game that will be released on the Nintendo Wii this May. Featuring 16 "next-generation" rescue vehicles, 1 or 2 players can race through an open city, causing whatever carnage necessary to save someone's life. It could be fun. Straight out of Assassin's Creed 2, Red Steel 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Ghost Recon coming b Ubisoft's Q308 earnings call comes news that Assassin's Creed 2 – the not-so-secret sequel to the 6 million plus selling megahit – will be silently leaping onto consoles "by March 2010" according to the [Twitter feed of gaming gournalist Geoff Keighley] Ubisoft's third quarter earnings report.

Ubisoft unveils Prince of Persia: The Fallen King for DS

Ubisoft has unveiled a portable companion piece to this holiday's new-gen Prince of Persia, dubbing the pint-sized platformer "Prince of Persia: The Fallen King." Featuring an independent storyline and "unique stylus controls". With the aid of Ubisoft's Casablanca studio, this little prince will join his big brother on shelves just in time for Holiday 2008.

Prince of Persia Prodigy rumoured

Internet watchers have found what could be the official site for the next Prince of Persia game. It shows some swirling liquid behind an Arabic word translated to mean "Minjar" or telescope, according those on the Ubisoft forum. There is no mention of the game being called Prince of Persia Prodigy, although those first on the scene reported that www.princeofpersiaprodigy.com redirected you to this mysterious site. It doesn't any more.

Pachter: Ubisoft To See $66 Million In U.S. Q2 Sales

Ahead of Ubisoft's Q2 results expected October 23rd, Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter has predicted sales ahead of consensus estimates of €112 million ($158.9 million) and said the company's share price should rise with continued success of the Nintendo DS.

Wii Portfolio Drives Ubisoft FY Sales Up 14%

The strength of its Wii titles was key to Ubisoft's 14 percent sales increase in its fiscal 2008, the publisher announced today, although sales declined 5.1 percent in the fourth quarter. Thanks to what the company calls "a continued strong showing" for Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party and Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip, Ubisoft's fourth quarter sales were €206 ($292.52) million, while full year results came to €1.06 ($1.5) billion.

Ubisoft Reflections creating new Driver game

The people inside Ubisoft's Reflections studio, nabbed by the French publisher in 2006, are hard at work clicking buttons, typing code and making "VROOM!" sound effects in order to service a new Driver game. Aside from its in-development status, not much is revealed about the new Driver in a BBC News clip.

Party Babyz Hands-on

Party Babyz is a minigame collection. Instead of feed, changing and bathing your bundles of joy, players act as the babysitter and play games with the kids they're looking after. The game is designed to be multiplayer, with four babies competing in each game. There are 30 minigames in Party Babyz, each centered around different activities you might use to placate a child.
