It's been a fairly big Tokyo Game Show for Gran Turismo 5. At the Sony conference centering on Japan, it was announced that the Land of the Rising Sun would see the game in March, that there would be 20 locations with a total of 70 track variations, that there'd be more than 950 cars in the game including hybrids and electrics, and so much more. GT5's saving grace is that FM3 is an Xbox exclusive and can only have minimal effect on sales.
They needed to release this game this side of Christmas. The infatuation with the volume of tracks and cars would of been better spent ensuring the game was delivered sooner. They then could of used the time after release to provide this as additional content.
How many sales would you say this confirmation of a March 2010 release will make ultimately to the LTD for this title. I am now estimating sales of 8 million and only with mega bundling do I see it going much higher.
