@pilias_simber, Do you have link that back up your statement "WoW took 4 months to reach 800,000 sales" ? Without supporting link, we might made a wrong decision based on wrong data.
The drop is something I don't entirely understand. Obviously this game is going to do less than WoW, but it is doing extremely well in sales.
Just a comparison, WoW took 4 months to reach 800,000 sales, Age of Conan is selling at a much faster rate than that. Its entirely reasonable to see AoC doing 4-5 Million once it hits Asia, which is where the majority of WoW subscribers currently are. It's not atypical for these games to continue to sell for years after they release.
@Phantomar, Is this fact (700K registered) in line with the stock price ? I don't have any experience converting registered to sales #, so any sharing is welcome.
Funcom N.V (NO) - The best selling PC game of May continues to hold the #1 spot in most markets - More than 700.000 gamers have registered an Age of Conan account so far
Our test ran through the streets of Old Terantia where we wound our way from the East Gate to the docks and back. ...
We found that the city test represents the absolute worst case scenario. We easily saw our frame rates double as soon as we stepped outside of cities, and combat instances in enclosed areas proved much less taxing than the civil environments.
