Following news that Mass Effect will now no longer use SecuRom’s automatic ten-day authentication system, EA’s confirmed that Spore’s to ditch the unpopular measure as well.

BioWare technical producer Derek French has said that the PC versions of both Mass Effect and Spore will make use of copy protection that will require online validation every ten days to continue working.

@gamegiants, This article is amazingly subjective. It should be read as pure opinion. Considering what's been seen in the game and how far away the launch is, I'm questioning the material.

I can see it better as a travel game (DS) or casual (Wii). I'm not so sure on the PC.
