@mrahaju, Well... It would seem that the Wii version sold more than the PS2 version just barely or virtually the same amount.
PS2 was reported by Capcom as having sold 270k and now they have reported 280k sold on the Wii.
In that light, it doesn't look like Okami on the Wii did so bad - it had a larger installed base on the PS2 and sold basically the same amount in a greater amount of time then the Wii version has had thus far.
"Acclaimed Okami designer Hideki Kamiya has expressed frustration with publisher Capcom's decision to omit the original development team credits from the United States version of Ready At Dawn's Okami Wii port. "
Age isn't kind to many games, but with the addition of motion controls for the celestial brush and support for widescreen and progressive scan displays, Okami has been updated enough to make it even more relevant today than it was in 2006.
not worth an article submission, but definitely worth a mention: Source of "Blogspam": http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/15/today-in-joystiq-april-15-2008/
Create some awesome Okami-inspired art, put it on DeviantArt and Capcom might reward you with a Nintendo Wii. http://news.deviantart.com/article/46598/
This is a smart marketing technique, where Nintendo will gain product awareness and perhaps even draw in a different market than before. I would expect that this new awareness should definitely help Okami sales.
Couldn't find it in the 8 articles that were posted, so i assume this is new. Saw it on Digg this morning. It is a decent read, but the repercussions of a review like this are far more interesting to me.
