Another reason might be that that's ALL you posted, with no analysis of any kind. Even using VGChartz numbers (not the greatest data to use to make EXACT predictions, more on that in a second), some analysis of what you're posting is needed.
Since I'm gathering you're new from your ranking, here's my spiel on VGChartz: they're not a good indicator of exact sales, for the purpose of this site. By that I mean that VGChartz and NPD use two different (incomplete) methods to gather their information, with little overlap between them. So VGC's sources may say that BioShock has sold 127kish, but NPD (the group who's numbers we use as the basis of our futures) says they sold 95,562 copies. Obviously, VGC doesn't just make up numbers (kind of), they've got complicated methods for extracting their numbers that they're posting. BUT they're not the same as NPD numbers.
Whoops. Sorry, 2nd day on the site. I didn't really think it would get bid down because it isn't NPD. Even though it is widely known that NPD is no more accurate than VGCharts or Nexgenwars since they don't include certain retail stores. But for the sake of this site, and not causing a ruffle, I won't post any news from vgcharts or any #s but NPD #s out of respect.
@jdknight25, it may be because it appears to be a duplicate of your comment.
Also, VGchartz generally doesn't warrant a whole article submission--that stuff is so regular, people mostly just put it in the forum. Usually if its something harder to find and more credible, like NPD, Chart Track, Famitsu, or Enterbrain sales, then it would warrant an article. Everyone knows where to find a VGChartz estimate.
Either way, it appears you are new, don't be discouraged and welcome to the simExchange!
@jdknight25, Oh I just noticed that you posted it as a News Article. It's best to post stuff like data from VGchartz as a comment instead because people don't consider it a full fledged article.
@jdknight25, I did not downbid because I thought you added some good info. Many here though dislike using VGChartz for data because they're often either off by a little or a lot. But to me, even so, your data does show an amount of sales that we can take with a grain of salt & it is worth looking at. I'll bid you up even if it won't benefit me.
"With some 1.5 million copies of BioShock shipped to retailers and Take-Two boasting the "All-Time Highest Xbox 360 Ranking on Metacritic" for the game, it would seem that a sequel is a lock. In today's conference call discussing the company's third quarter earnings, Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick said of the game's success "Clearly, we have a new hit franchise on our hands.""
""BioShock is shaping up to be a very important franchise" said the chairman, underscoring the importance of the game to Take-Two. Zelnick added that he expects a "three year schedule" for the BioShock IP."
