While traversing the CES 2008 show floor, we came across a demonstration of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PlayStation 3. We're told it's the same demo as the hands-on kiosks at the Tokyo Game Show and E for All events last fall, but running on a separate screen above the demo was a running list of PS3 facts. Among these random facts was additional confirmation that Sony considers MGS4 a PS3 exclusive release.

MGS 4 was a big hit. Konami isn't ready to walk away from the franchise anytime soon. A Konami job listing shows how eager the company is. The job listing is for an experience programmer and mentions mostly the obvious: Staff wanted for home console games and cell phone games. But one line sticks out — Staff wanted for a new development in the Metal Gear series.

Impressions from the TGS demo. "The game plays like all the other MGS games did, except for one minor detail. If you want to make Snake perform a move that has nothing to with combat, then the "action" interface would be switched on with the triangle. Judging from the game's demo build, it is now safe to say that this game will definitely be as pretty as it looked in just about every trailer. All the real-time action looks extremely superb and the effects that Snake's camouflage suit look impressive. The portions of gameplay that have a lot going on in the screen doesn't appear to slow the game, or the visual prowess, down, so that appears to be another factor that ties in well with what looks to be another visual masterpiece."
