@Toastboy44562, Word of caution : If you keep on making un-necessary, biased, without detailed reason opinion post like this, you will keep on getting negative bids.
Gears of War 2 is a hard game for me to write about. Partly because (drum roll, please) I didn’t play the first one and mostly because of all the restrictions placed on last week’s three-day GOW2 marathon. I’m not really allowed to talk about campaign mode’s “plot spoilers” and I can’t talk about the glorious Horde mode multiplayer until October 15 (not sure if that includes co-op campaign mode).
SPOILERS
Nearly everyone I know is waiting impatiently for Gears of War 2 while I sit here with my mouth clamped shut. You see, not only have I played the game, I’ve beaten it. And I only have a handful of other people that I can talk to about it. Just last week, Microsoft invited about 30 journalists to tear through a near-final build of Gears 2 with over a month remaining before the game’s release.
Are ten multiplayer maps in Gears of War 2 not good enough for you? How about fifteen? Epic Games is packing a special treat into every retail Copy of Gears 2 - a coupon redeemable via Xbox Live good that allows players to download five additional maps for the game, each one a slightly more polished version of a map from the first game.
Gears of War 2 dev lead Cliff Bleszinski is a nice guy. He’s also in charge of the creative side of one of the most powerful entertainment brands on earth. At a recent London press event for the action sequel we got to drill the developer on the game, his views on PS3, how much graphical power’s left in 360 and tons more, all of which you can find below.
