This game won't be released next week. In fact, Nintendo has already said that it won't come out until sometime in 2008. Wii sales are going to be a lot higher once production increases and the 2007 holiday season passes.
And the install base at launch won't constrain sales. Look at the DS version. It's still near the top of the charts after almost 2 years.
zero- i am not quite sure i can agree at this point. wii has sold <8mil. So at this point it would be 1/2 of their install base. Granted the wii will sell more, a lot more. But i think 4.3 is a bit optimistic at this point. I think it is still too early to make large claims with absolute certainty.
What's with the selloff? I see no reason for the drastic fluctuations of this stock.
This stock is still very undervalued as it will sell more than 4.3 million world wide.
DS sales of this title surpassed 7.5 million. Its very bearish to assume this title will sell less than half of growth over the gamecube version the DS version experienced.
This title will be huge for Nintendo when it comes out.
You can -karma me i've got the money to handle it. Sorry that posting something related to the game isn't making me Spaz out? Nothing wrong with putting something that branches out from the game -- reguardless if it's a show, it's related to the game.
Why does it matter if it's a question mark at the end of that? Does it bother you that much? If it does you might want to consider watching Dr.Phil, not everyone knows if it's an anime, concept art, or a game shot. Deal with it.
It's confirmed to be from the anime, so why is there still a question mark?
I don't have an issue with the image itself being posted, just that it was put there as a possible screenshot of the game. Users shouldn't be rewarded for google searching and then posting images without knowing what it's for/from.
I am unsure if the Wiki additions allow deletion of pictures like that, but I would vote that it be removed, or at the very least, relabeled for what it actually is.
There's nothing wrong with being new to a site :) I hope you enjoy playing around on here.
I suppose as a final bit of advice, always try to consider the entire franchise and not just one game. It can lead to misleading assumptions...best to have as many comparisons as possible.
But I'm sure everyone here has stories about making mistakes at first (I know my port was a mess at first), so don't get discouraged :) I look forward to seeing more of your posts.
Ladderscrapper, itīs true that a sequel to a fantastically successful portable game has NEVER done relatively poorly on a home console (Iīm not counting Tetris 2, since it was a Tetris sequel in name only). But then there havenīt been that many fantastically successful portable games. It could certainly happen.
The 3 main reasons many people are expecting huge Animal Crossing Wii sales are: 1) The N64 AC port sold 2.5M on GC - and Wii will outsell GC by about 4 times and recieve a brand-new AC game. 2) AC popularity has exploded in Japan. On GC AC sold less than a million in Japan. On DS it will sell about 6M (dispite being merely an N64 remake). It is now much more popular than Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy in Japan. 3) AC popularity has exploded even more recently in Europe (currently, over a year after release itīs still in top 10 sales charts!). On GC AC sold less than 0.2M in Europe. On DS it will sell >4M (an increase of way over 2000%!). (See my posts on page 3 and 4 for links and details.)
So on DS, the N64 AC remake will sell at least 11M. The brand-new sequel on Wii should sell AT LEAST 60% of that, and could very well outsell it.
And Lapperscrapper, Iīd advise you when trading stocks (especially real ones) to make your decisions mainly based on past sales, trends, and forcasts, rather than personal preference.
