I hope the weird looking player and npcs in this are different in the america/europe releases, because in my opinion, they look too big headed.. litterally. The rest of the game looks amazing though :)
Well according to VGcharts.org it has already sold 4.5 million in Japan and the lifetime total sales for Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire was 15.7 million. I therefore believe that it is likely a good by at 12.5 million predicted sales.
I actually think this one is undervalued. Diamond/Pearl is selling much faster than any previous Pokemon game and the DS has longer lasting potential than the GBA. Both those factors point to Diamond/Pearl selling more than previous Pokemon games, which sell between 15 million and 32 million copies each.
The funny thing is that people say the prices are high at IPO, then afterwards they say the stock is too low. I hope people know the IPO price is not supposed to be a discount but a best guess at a possibly accurate price.
Trihunter, I'm confused, first you post a comment on the blog announcement of the IPO implying that 12.5 million copies is too high, then you say it will sell at least 18 million, then on this page you say it will sell over 15 million...all within a few hours. What's with the waivering opinion?
Yes, but most of the other Pokemon submissions for Diamond and Pearl are inaccurate, seeing how they have both sold over 2 million each in Japan alone.
Unfortunately, both Diamond and Pearl have already been submitted at least twice already. It's interesting though that yours is the only one that groups them together.
