In the bizarre California metropolis of Santa Destroy, your trainer encourages you to get naked for your workout, and hired goons bemoan the loss of their spleen when cleaved in two. If you've played any of director SUDA-51's previous games, especially 2005's Killer 7, this kind of irreverent and ironic humor won't come as a shock.
@lstormy10, I think people are buying this because there are only a couple of good games coming out for the Wii in the coming months and one of them was pushed back to March.
Just to let people know, I just got finished watching the newest episode of X-Play that just aired, and (kind of to my suprise and excitement) they ended up giving No More Heroes a 5 out of 5 (really good for the game).
I hope people are not buying this because they believe the sales of the game will increase based on the number of good reviews the game is getting (the lowest I have seen is 7.8 thus far, and that is still good for any videogame). Be cautious: good reviews do not always translate into a large leap in sales (as the stock has jumped today when articles have been posted covering the reviews of the game).
"No More Heroes delivers snappy combat, hilarious characters, cinematic battles, and some of the most rewarding motion fighting since Godfather: Blackhand Edition. There’s a point in No More Heroes where you realize that even despite all its shortcomings you’re still having a great time playing the game, and we won’t deny that aspect. If you can put up with a lack of polish, No More Heroes is an extremely rewarding product, and a must-have for any Suda fan or hardcore gamer."
Japan Import: Violence, sex, things to see, things to collect, spectacular graphics and even better sound, a sense of humour, a sense of purpose, an insane logic running through every fibre - and enough swearing to get your telly banned by the BBFC. Killer7 creator Suda51 is back, all right.
Unfortunately, not straight away. I have limited spare money now, what with supporting my kids etc, and my son begged me to buy SSBB for him, so I have prioritized it. I haven't told him that SSBB release was delayed one month, since he might get very upset (and lose concentration on his study). I will told him during the week end, to soften the blow. I also have priority for Wii Fit, for myself and wife.
@apujanata, I already put down a pre-order like a month before E3. I want more games from Suda 51 on the Wii. I am going to be picking up my copy when it releases (I also convinced a couple other people to purchase it). Are you planning on buying No More Heroes (as it needs support to boost sales)?
