Killzone 2 uses a multitude of lighting effects applied in real-time on a situation-by-situation basis. This is by far the most complex and impressive lighting engine created for a console video game. Everything you see in Killzone 2 is made possible by the lighting engine. If you turn it off, you will simply have a black screen - this is VERY important to remember....
"The opening was once again fantastic, but we couldn't help but sit there and think, "When are we finally going to see some in-game footage?" The only thing was that we had been looking at in-game footage. As soon as our soldier hits the ground and his gun comes into view, very much like what we saw with the opening to Resistance, we couldn't help but think, "Holy hell, all of that was in-game?"
I finally figured out how to edit images and such, so they are all now fixed. If anyone else needs to know it's under Game News and then "your images(articles videos etc.)then edit this (image, video, article).
Yes, I do realize that, it was an accident. I was submitting content for assassins creed, and had a Killzone tab open... I just submitted a Killzone 2 image in an attempt to bump it down, and linked the thumb wrong, so now there is a third and I fail at life.
Jess__, you realize that is an image for Assassin's Creed that you submitted for Killzone 2?
As for the developer's comments, every thing I've read says the first Killzone was pretty much a flop in terms of both critics' reviews and sales performance. Killzone is well known only from Sony's marketing muscle.
That just means that the developer either has no clue (since they couldn't even ballpark a figure) or they're outright lying. There's no source that claims it got to a million and their answer didn't exactly seem thought out.
