Apologies, the source for this is actually Xbox360Fanboy. I was originally going to submit the 1UP report, but then noticed that Xbox360Fanboy was 1UP's source. I changed the URL but not the SimExchange 'source' box, my bad.
Aside from the freezing and co-op issues already known about, it seems there is a new flaw in Fable 2. The bug occurs at the start of the "Monk's Quest". If the player starts talking to the abbot who gives the quest, and then leaves the area before finishing the conversation, they will be unable to continue the quest and will thus be prevented from completing the game's main storyline.
i dont understand why there is such backlash. the coop is everything that was promised. it was NEVER promised that you'd be taking in your own character to someone else's world. it was ALWAYS said it was going to be mercenary/henchman.
also, the people who are giving bad word of mouth are, again, the vocal minority. i dont think this backlash is going to have that much effect on the sales of this game. but that's just my opinion
@Eclectus, Other things to note : For reference, the top-4 titles have each sold over 5 million copies to date. If Fable 2 were to follow those footsteps, it would be in hallowed territory, and shatter many records for Western console RPGs.
Fable first week = 1 Million - 350K (Europe, median between 300K - 400K) = 650K
Retailers report brisk Fable 2 sales, pointing toward massive first week sales. Fable 2 is now poised to break the 1,000,000 unit mark on opening week, worldwide.
@apujanata, Since I am short on this stock (both Futures and GLS), I am more confident with my short decision every time I heard about bad news of this game. Enraging the customer is ALWAYS a bad move, for any kind of company. Bad word-of-mouth can kill a company faster than good word-of-mouth can increase company's revenue.
