I guess the Halo 3 Legendary Edition wasn’t meant to be the big sold out collectible that I once thought it was going to be. Well WalMart is selling it for only $59.82. That is half off what it was originally going for. I am even tempted to pick it up just because my brother has it and I know how nice of a set it is (the helmet was way bigger than I thought it would be). However I find it odd that I remember Amazon having deals on it about a month ago, $99.

Based on Microsoft's revenue report, a retail industry contact, and some math, GameDaily has estimated roughly 2.48 million copies of Halo 3 sold its first day.

If you think a map needs a flamethrower in a specific place and it's not there yet, the Forge will grant you your wish. If you want all of the spawn points for one team to be located within a small building, the Forge can make that happen. What other game has such a fully-featured replay mode? What other game comes with such a variety of maps and game styles? What other game gives you the chance to be teabagged by a pre-pubescent boy with a potty mouth? Hang on, that's not right. All joking aside, the voting results this year indicated what we all knew: nothing's in the same class as Halo.

After years of Japan shunning American games, a drastic turn around and good news for Microsoft after Halo 3 tops the game sales chart for the week of 9/24 to 9/30, according to the Japanese software chart Simple 2000.

Limited Edition disc cases have faulty nubs and discs are showing up scratched. "It is unclear if the disc-scratching problem extends to the $129.99 the Legendary Edition of Halo 3. Early shots of the set show a regular Xbox 360 case inside the shelf that is part of the pricey set, which would exclude the possibility of the offending nub. However, several members of the press reported that the Legendary Edition comes with the Limited Edition packaging inside the miniature helmet that is the Legendary edition's main draw."
