"We are pleased to confirm that we are going to develop a game for the Nintendo Wii that meets mainstream demand for the fun and fitness benefits of pole dancing. The Laurel Center was the first of the Genesis Healthcare facilities in New England to use the Wii as an alternative form of rehabilitation for patients. It was first introduced by a physical therapy assistant in April of 2007, who brought in her personal game. Europeans Can Now Trade Star Points For Wii Points

Kotaku - December 7, 2007

Submitted by ixaarii (444) at 5:18AM PST on December 7, 2007

"Every time they purchase and register a Nintendo product, they get star points. A lot like Japan's Club Nintendo, then, just without most of the cool stuff. Well, Nintendo Europe just made the process a lot more appealing: starting from today, you can trade star points for Wii points, which you can spend on all the Virtual Console games your heart desires. Feels strange saying this, but classy move, Nintendo Europe."
