@ReyBrujo, It's a duplicate article. You should take it down. It doesn't matter how many upbids he has relative to you; he got there first, any bids that result from this article should be his. Do you think he's not mad that people are bidding on duplicate articles instead of his? Man up, admit you got beat to the punch, and take the article down. You get to keep your upbids, you don't get more downbids, and it doesn't get any uglier than it already is.
@kspraydad, "I haven't read the whole thread"? Sure, no problem. Here is another post for you, more free bids.
As for courtesy, I find it strange. You say it is courtesy, yet people punish when someone puts a duplicated story. Where is the courtesy of thinking he just thought it wasn't posted and decide to leave it in 0 instead of down bidding? Easy: easy bids. People here do anything just to get a few free bids. Must make you feel wonderful.
I haven't read the whole thread and problem but we certainly to NOT need foul language used. Please refrain and watch your phrasing...you can get your point accross without the vulgarity.
Also, it IS common courtesy to post article in the appropriate thread AND to search before posting so as not to flood the site with duplicate info.
@feelmyring, If they are referring to the impact of the release of a new hardware revision for a determined game, why not? Someone who is following Layton may not check Nintendo DS.
@lstormy10, Istomry10, I did not notice you have posted it, sorry. I only checked for the Layton area and posted it there. As I said above, I believe people who are trading Layton need to know about this speculation. But accusing me of "stealing" your bids? You have done 145 submissions and this is my fifth! And you are doing all this for 5 bids? This pisses me off much more than what you can imagine. If this were your fifth article I would understand. Your tenth, I would understand. If you just started, I would understand. But being #38 and a "Guru"? What the fuck? Do you need those bids so much? Buy some stock and sell it overvaluated and I will buy it from you so that you get your miserably 5 bids back!
I am really pissed off. 5 damned bids after having 1,994 up bids? I am off, cannot stand this stupidity.
@ReyBrujo, Though with that justification, I could post articles multiple times all over the place. For example, I could post this article under Industry News, Nintendo, Layton, and Nintendo DS sections.
It is the exact same article.
Just because an article is posted in one place does not make it okay to post it in another - this only generates a larger volume of duplicate postings all over the place.
You can use articles in different contexts in different places, but that doesn't mean you have to purposely post a duplicate article in another place to use that article. All you are doing is purposely posting duplicates and purposely taking bids that should go to the person who posted the article first.
@lstormy10, I understand. But there are no rules that the same news cannot be used in different contexts. You focus on the hardware release by posting it in the Nintendo DS thread, I focus in the Layton release by posting it here.
I post this because of two things: the first one is that, since Nintendo is releasing a new color, there may be shortages (because of not stocking old colors) or drop in sales (of people waiting for the new color), which may push the sales for the Cobalt Blue DS (as well as Layton, as the article says, since both are released on the same day) upwards. And second, we are virtually assured that there won't be any kind of shortages of DS by the time Layton launches.
I would have preferred a bundle, but this is the third best thing Nintendo could do (with the second being putting mad amounts of advertisement, which could already be done since I already received their Layton newsletter).
