For comparison (even though release dates and other factors were different), Super Smash Bros Melee sold 250,000 in its first 9 days - this title will most definitely sell more than Melee did by a large amount based on the first week sales.
I think it's also important to note that 526,000 were sold in the week after the first day, so it wasn't that frontloaded. That could either be because of the Sunday release date, or that sales may be consistently high for the whole month...and there are 3 weeks left for this Future.
After just one week on store shelves, Super Smash Bros.® Brawl for Wii has become the fastest-selling video game in Nintendo of America's history. Since its launch on March 9, the feature-packed fighting action game has sold more than 1.4 million units in the United States, including more than 874,000 on March 9 alone. It has sold at a rate of more than 120 units per minute between launch and March 16.
@Jonman, This is one of the few games I would not short. Maybe futures for Brawl in April because most people will have picked up the game on launch, but with the install base of the Wii and the Halo 3 levels of anticipating that most Nintendo fans have for this game, it doesn't seem wise to short this particular stock.
