Submitted by Starless (14) at 11:39PM PST on May 15, 2007

Consolidated Financial Results for the Fiscal year ended 31 March, 2007. $1,969 million (U.S. dollars) operating loss for gaming sector. "The deterioration was primarily the result of the loss arising from the sale of PS3 at strategic price points lower than its production cost during the introductory period, as well as the recording of other charges in association with preparation for the launch of the PS3 platform. In addition, operating income from the PS2 business declined due to decrease in software sales, while opeating income from the PSP business increased primarily due to continued cost reductions in hardware production."
