IGN has awarded a 10/10 to only Soul Calibur and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (not counting multiple Game Boy games which used a different rating scale).
It's a good gauge then. I'm accustomed to mags and websites giving triple A titles 10's just for the sake of it. I guess I'm reading the wrong ones. LOL.
i've read through the whole article (except for 2 paragraphs, thought it might be a spoiler) and i'm left completely speechless... i wonder how it will be when i finally get to play the game on tuesday myself.
for me, IGN is THE review i'm waiting for every time, and seeing they gave GTA a 10/10 just makes me horny :D
"Grand Theft Auto IV is just as big a leap forward [as GTA III], though perhaps in subtler ways, and sets a new benchmark for open-world games. Everything in GTA IV works in harmony. The story would be nothing without the city; the city gains realism from the physics engine; the physics compliment the improved AI; the AI would make no sense without the new cover system. And on and on. There is no one major weak aspect."
The image is a presentation slide showing X360 disc specifications from Gamefest 2007 conference. I believe the rest of capacity is used for DRM protection.
here's a thread about it, though it'd be interesting if anyone (could be later in the thread; i'm just on the first page) could provide technical documentation
