@CrAzZyYmAn, It's also the 360 experiencing them too. They updated their post with that info. Funny, when I read about this on a non 360 site they reported the 360 in the original writeup... And they broke the news much earlier... Kotaku 5 am, TeamXbox 2:31 pm. I guess even MS sites are trying to capitalize on GTA IV as much as they can, for 360's benefit.
There are numerous reports popping up on video game forums that claim that the PlayStation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV is experiencing some freeze errors. There's already a thread in the official PlayStation forums covering the "cutscene video lockup"
ockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV finally went on sale in the early hours of the morning today, as consumers across the UK clamored to be first to play the latest in the 66 million-selling franchise.
It was inevitable. With the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 competing for the "next-gen" first place spot, both armed with Grand Theft Auto IV shipping day and date, nitpicking comparisons between each version was expected from vocal fans. Rockstar Games has commented multiple times that both versions are identical, minus a few platform specific features and Xbox 360 exclusives.
It's one UK retailer, Asda ( a supermarket owned by Walmart) who mentioned that trend and said it was vastly different to what was expected. HMV, a more specialist media retailer say different.
I expect 360 GTA:IV to be on top of the charts in a couple of weeks though no doubt the PS3 version will do well also.
DS3 has not been given Euro release yet so PS3 still comes with old controller. I think street price can be lower than official SRP so bigger discount in reality.
@Mushashi, Does the PS3 console usually get the 1 SixAxis wireless controller mentioned in the bundle ? I haven't bought PS3 yet, and because there was news of Dual Shock 3 replacing SixAxis as default controller (IIRC), so I am not certain what the latest status / standard is for PS3.
Earlier today, we told you about that the PS3 edition of GTA IV was ahead of the Xbox 360 version in terms of pre-sales in Australia. Now, a similar report arrives from the other side of the Pacific, where U.K. retailers are seeing a similar trend.
